I often kayak in the ocean. This type of gripper sits in salt water, fish intestines and direct sunlight most of the time, and it still functions like a new fish. At the end of the day, quickly rinse with water and WD-40 spray, and you can use it again. This is a good balance of value and quality. Tip: I put a circle of foam noodles on the lanyard to prevent floating on the buoy, which worked well.
