My first pair was a gift in the mid-1990s to use with my wood-burning fireplace. I then began using them with my Weber Performer charcoal BBQ. Almost 20 years later, the original pair was showing some signs of wear-and-tear after a LOT of use. Bought a second, new set. Absolutely love them. Use both frequently for very hot charcoal fires and NEVER feel the heat. If you need a great, safe, comfortable set of fire or grilling gloves, these are your pair! Highly recommend!

These bad boys are HUGE. Great for larger hands and people who are grilling. I got them for my petit GF who bakes... and there's NO effing way. it would be dangerous for her. SO... they are great quality... but you NEED to have a real man's hands to fit these so you don't overlap the tips of your fingers and make a dangerous situation.

After putting it to the ultimate test - a July 4th BBQ - I may start sleeping in this thing. This is NOT your everyday, run-of-the-mill cotton apron. This baby is like a marathon runner - ready for the grind. It’s comfy, confoming, and will swat away splashes of hot grease, tomato sauce or boiling water with ease. The leather backstrap harness lets you easily adjust the fit so it’s balanced on your shoulders. I barely noticed the extra weight after a few minutes. Lots of pockets, including a secret interior stash pocket which I use for my cell phone, but could also guard a couple oz of truffles and other goodies. Kitchen chef’s probably won’t use this for making morning eggs, but if you’re looking for a rugged apron for big, dirty jobs, this is it!
