I've used soap infused sponges for years - this brand is one of my favorites. They have a wonderfully rich lavender scent and great lather. I've read negative reviews of the sponge being hard. That's only the first few washes. They gradually soften and work exactly as promised. Reviews also complain about too few washes. The product's packaging clearly states 20+ washes and I definitely get 25-30 washes. Whereas I mainly use the sponges at home, I've often taken and used while traveling. I definitely recommend.

I wanted to wait a couple of months to review this product to see how it held up, and after 2 months it's still going strong. I saw other reviews that said it started falling apart, but mine hasn't lost any pieces and I use it fairly aggressively. This is my first natural sponge. I wanted to stop using plastic loufas for environmental reasons. Compared to loufas I would not say it's "soft." In fact, I might be hesitant to use this on an infant. For myself though I find it's an excellent exfoliator and really helps with ingrown hairs, and it has softened more over time (or maybe I've just gotten used to it). It absorbs well and makes a nice lather (not as good as loufas, but well enough). This was a test and it has passed. I don't plan to buy any more plastic loufas.
